Quick links: | Remove Eduroam | Setup Eduroam |
This article will cover the Eduroam setup for devices running iOS, including iPads and iPhones. Depending on your hardware and the version of iOS you are using, your setup process may look slightly different. We recommend installing all available system updates before you continue.
If you receive an "Unable to Connect" or similar error, please visit our office in Meriam Library 142. You may have an expired password, locked account, or affiliation issues that prevent a successful connection to the wireless network.
Continuous connection attempts could lock your Chico State account.
How to Remove Eduroam:
- Go to the Settings app on your device and select General from the menu on the left, then scroll down and tap Profiles in the list on the right. Depending on your system settings, this may appear as VPN & Device Management
- In the new list on the right, find the Configuration Profile for "California State University Chico eduroam MobileConfig" and tap it to select. Once the profile is selected, tap Remove Profile
- Enter your device passcode when prompted, and tap Remove to complete the removal process. You have now removed the eduroam wireless profile from your device!
How to Setup Eduroam:
- Go to the Settings app on your device and select Wi-Fi from the menu on the left, then tap eduroam in the list of available networks on the right.
- Here you will be prompted for your Chico State email address (not just the username) and password. Please enter them in the appropriate fields and then tap Join.
- In the next step you will be asked to trust the "eduroam.csuchico.edu" certificate. Please tap Trust. After a brief moment to connect, you should now be connected to Eduroam!
