This article will cover the Eduroam setup for devices powered by Android. This includes many brands of cell phones, tablets, and other mobile devices. Please be aware that many manufacturers who use Android on their hardware (Samsung, LG, etc) will make small tweaks to the graphics and menu options so your screens may not perfectly match those shown in this guide. There are also some variations based on different versions of Android. You may have to "look around" to find some of the settings and menus but for the most part, the process is consistent.

 How To Remove Eduroam

  1. If you have been connected to Eduroam prior to 2021, the first step is to verify that the SecureW2 JoinNow MultiOS application is not installed on your mobile device. If it is, please uninstall the app, as shown below. If it is not, please proceed to step 2.
    Uninstall JoinNow App

  2. Pull down from the top of the screen and tap and hold on the wireless icon on the far left. This will open your Network Settings.
    Menu

  3. From the list of Wi-Fi networks, tap and hold on eduroam and select "Forget"
    Forget Eduroam

  4. You should now be disconnected from the "eduroam" wireless

How to Setup Eduroam:

  4. After the above items have been configured, select "Connect". You should now be connected to Eduroam!

For Google Pixels:

  • Put "annonymous@csuchico.edu" under the anonymous identity section.
    • We are aware of the typo using two n's in "annonymous@csuchico.edu". Please make sure to include it exactly as shown.
  • You may need to put "trust on first use" for the online certificate status.
