How To Setup Eduroam:

To setup Eduroam on a Chromebook you will need to download and install eduroam-ChromeOS-Chico_State.onc to your device.

  1. Connect to the csuchico network, then open Chrome to www.csuchico.edu/eduroam.
  2. Here, you will be prompted to install the Secure W2 App from the Chrome Webstore.

  3. After installing, navigate back to your previous window, to enter your Chico State email address and password and click "Download". This will download the .onc file. If it does not download, the file is also accessible here: https://csuchico.box.com/s/buqsy7510hc70nmnjzadjc0axybe01hz
  4. You should see a tab that was opened automatically when the file was downloaded. This is where you will adjust the network settings.
    • Alternatively, navigate to the ChromeBookOS settings in your ChromeBookOS browser by going to the following URL: chrome://net-internals
    • On the left-hand side, click on the menu option for ChromeOS and then click the top-most blue link: chrome://network#general
  5. At the bottom of the screen, click the "Choose file" button and select the file that you downloaded in Step 3. This will install the "eduroam" configuration file on your system. Once you have selected the file, the message will change to show that it has been imported, but it will look like nothing else has happened.
    Choose ONC File

  6. Navigate back to the Network Settings by clicking the settings menu in the bottom right of your screen and clicking the arrow under the Wi-Fi icon. From the menu, select the eduroam network. You should connect successfully.
    • As an extra step, make sure to forget the csuchico network that you connected to at the beginning, using these steps.
      Select Eduroam
