Context Menu

Overview

The context menu, accessible by right-clicking on any asset, provides you with a menu of available actions for that asset. Only actions you have permission to take will be available. For example, if your user account cannot edit a particular page, the Edit option will not be available in the context menu.

Available Actions

1. View - View the selected asset.
2. Edit - Edit the selected asset.
3. Publish - Publish the selected asset (or multiple assets when selecting a folder).
4. Move - Move the selected asset to another location.
   • Users will be prompted to unpublish the asset. Previously published versions of the asset will remain on the webserver with the old path unless unpublished. 
   • Dragging and dropping to move assets is also permitted.
5. Rename - Rename the selected asset.
   • Users will be prompted to unpublish the asset. Previously published versions of the asset will remain on the webserver with the old name unless unpublished.
6. Copy - Copy the selected asset to a new location.
7. Delete - Delete the selected asset.
   • Users will be prompted to unpublish the asset. Previously published versions of the asset will remain on the webserver unless unpublished.
8. Unpublish - Unpublish the selected asset from the webserver (if applicable).
9. Check-out/Lock - Check out or lock an asset to prevent other users from submitting changes on the selected asset.
10. Relationships - View (and publish) content linked to the selected asset.
11. Audits - View a summary of activities related to the asset (edits made, publishing, moves from one location to another, etc.)
12. Versions - View previous versions of the select asset.
13. Reference - Create an aliased link that allows the selected asset to be indexed in another location.
14. Tasks - View tasks associated with the selected asset.
15. Name - The system name of the selected asset.
16. Path - The relative path of the selected asset within a site. Click the clipboard next to the path to copy the relative path to your clipboard.
17. Site - The site where the selected asset resides.
