Duo Push Notifications

Duo Push is the easiest and quickest way of authenticating. You'll get a login request sent to your phone — just press Approve to authenticate.

If you get a login request that you weren't expecting, press Deny to reject the request. Never approve a request that you didn't sign in to receive. You’ll be given the ability to report it as fraudulent, or you can tap It was a mistake to deny the request without reporting it. If you receive prompts you did not request, it is recommended to change your password immediately.

Duo Passcode

Duo Mobile offers additional offline functionality for users who do not have cellular or Wi-Fi on their phones. The Duo Mobile app allows users to generate a passcode to enter for verifying their sign-in. This is highly recommended for those who are traveling internationally.

To generate a passcode, open the Duo Mobile app, and select the Chico State option. When it expands, it should display a six-digit passcode. Enter this code to complete your sign-in.

SMS Passcodes

You can authenticate using a passcode texted to your phone. To have Duo text you a passcode select the Text message passcode button after clicking Other Options.

It should take a few seconds for the text message to come through, as long as there is sufficient cellular service. Type in a passcode you received from Duo via text message and click Verify.
