Summary of system use and implementation

CSU, Chico has implemented a new Development & Training System (DTS), with the goal of providing one system to deliver and track all compliance and staff development training for CSU, Chico employees.  The initial roll out includes integration with our campus authentication system and the configuration of all current EHS courses including SkillSoft content libraries.  Future expansion of the system including training options offered by other departments will be addressed by the governing body established to oversee the ongoing use of the DTS.

Why do we need a Development & Training System?

The purpose of the new system is to:
• Integrate seven different campus training systems into one campus enterprise-wide system
• Provide accurate training assignments and training information for campus users and managers/leads which have not been available in the past

The DTS will allow Chico State employees to:
• Track your completed and enrolled training as well as review upcoming training opportunities
• Register for instructor led training
• Enroll and launch online training
• Complete self-administered training
• Managers/supervisors can track their employees training compliance

Who will have access to the Development & Training System?

• CSU, Chico state employees
• AS employees
• Foundation employees

What types of development and training opportunities are available in the DTS?

The initial roll out of the system will include compliance training and professional development courses for employees offered through the offices of Environmental Health and Safety, Human Resources, Financial Services, and Professional Development.  We hope that future expansion of the system will include course offerings from other departments that provide training and development opportunities for employees.
