Verify Uniflow Configuration

Summary

This article will show you how to verify that Uniflow is configured correctly on campus-owned Mac and PC computers

Body

Verify Configuration on a PC

  1. Click on "Show Hidden Icons" (^ button) in the system tray
  2. Hover over the green Uniflow Icon and it will tell you what servers it’s configured to report to.

  3. Verify that it is set to mfp-printers:8000. (It's ok if it mentions ocprinter:8000, but it HAS to have mfp-printers:8000)  If it isn’t, reinstall the Uniflow client by following https://support.csuchico.edu/TDClient/KB/ArticleDet?ID=10556

Verify Configuration on a Mac

  1. Open System Preferences (or System Settings, depending on the MacOS version).
  2. Open "MacClientConfig". If Uniflow isn't installed, this won't be here. You'll need to install it with this documentation.
  3. Verify that the client is configured with "mfp-printers:8000" in the Uniflow Server field. It's ok if it also has "ocprinter:8000", but it HAS to have "mfp-printers:8000".

  4. If it doesn't have "MFP-printers:8000" add it in.
