Change Impact

How will you measure the impact of this project?
What are some metrics or KPIs that will be used to measure success? Think about the five metrics to measure: quality, quantity, timeliness, cost, and customer satisfaction.
Automating the data feed to identify eligible students for the Tribal Relations program will save several hours of time each semester. Measuring the number of hours saved identifying eligible students.
Time saved utilizing the rich reporting features in Salesforce to track student scholarship activity.
What are the consequences of not doing this project?
For example: direct significant negative consequences to the University, unable to conduct basic services; failure to resolve customer complaints or requests; loss of opportunity for improved service delivery or efficiency. Please explain.
The Tribal Relations team will continue to spend their limited hours collecting data, developing reports, and less time doing outreach to the students they support. With limited staff it is critical to gain some efficiencies so the time is spent directly supporting students and less time managing a program.

Description

The Office of Tribal Relations serves as the connect point for the Chico State campus to provide access, social, emotional, and academic support for our Native American students. The Office of Tribal Relations would like to utilize Salesforce to assist in the outreach, engagement, and support of the students it serves.

In particular, Tribal Relations would like to utilize features in Salesforce that will speed up reporting related to engagement metrics and scholarship awards. Additional tools that would benefit the program include event management, appointment management, facility usage, private advising notes for certain notes their staff record but not all, and communications. Access to these tools will reduce the amount of time the team spends collecting data and reporting out to key stakeholders, allowing them to shift their focus to better support their students.
