Sharing the Calendar
This article will guide you through sharing a calendar in Outlook. When you share your calendar with someone, that person can open your calendar. You can give permission to create meetings on your behalf and to make other changes.
- Click Calendar
- In the Home tab, click Share and select the calendar you are trying to share
- In the Calendar Properties window, click Add and enter the email address of the person you are trying to share the calendar with and hit Enter
- In the list, find the person you are sharing your calendar with, click their name, hit Add, and OK
- You can add multiple people at the same time using this method. Just add all users before hitting OK
- In the Permissions box, choose the level of permission that you want them to have

- When you are done, hit Apply
- The person you added will then receive an email titled "You're invited to share this calendar". To accept the invitation, they need to click Open this Calendar

- It may take time for calendar events to populate. If they cannot see events within 24 hours, check the permissions or contact IT Support Services.
Changing Calendar Permissions
- Click Calendar
- In the Home tab, click Share and select the calendar you are sharing
- In the Calendar Properties window, click on the name of the person you are changing permissions of
- In the Permissions box, choose the level of permission that you want them to have

- When you are done, hit Apply
- The person you added will then receive an email titled "I've changed permissions on a shared calendar". To view the changes, they need to click Open this Calendar
