Introduction
The Career & Major Exploration Assistant is an AI-based exploration tool hosted on the Chico State AI nebulaONE platform. It helps students and recent alumni, consider majors, career directions, interests, strengths, and useful next steps. Faculty and staff may also access the agent to support student conversations.

Important Limitations
The Career & Major Exploration agent does NOT provide official academic advising, course sequencing, degree-audit interpretation, graduation-requirement decisions, financial aid guidance, mental-health counseling, legal advice, or employment guarantees.
For decisions that require individualized or official guidance, contact Chico State Career Services or the appropriate campus office.
Why Use this Agent Instead of a General AI Tool?
The agent is purpose-built for Chico State exploration. It uses Chico State academic and career information, supports exploration without forcing an early decision, and directs users to relevant campus support resources. Feedback from users and advisors also helps improve future responses.
Troubleshooting
I cannot sign into chicostateai.csuchico.edu. Verify that you are using valid Chico State credentials. The agent is available to eligible applicants, admits, students, faculty, staff, and recent Chico State graduates. If the error continues, submit a service request to IT Support Services.
I cannot find the agent in my campus ChatGPT account. The Career & Major Exploration agent is hosted in the Chico State AI nebulaONE platform, not in the campus ChatGPT or Gemini environments. Use the link in this article to access the agent.
Why is the agent on a separate platform? The Chico State AI nebulaONE platform, developed by Cloudforce, provides granular roles and permissions and can support AI models from multiple providers. This gives Chico State flexibility to select the model that best fits a specific use case.
I need to report a critical issue. Submit a service request or contact IT Support Services at (530) 898-HELP (4357) if immediate assistance is required.
