Add Classroom Recording Sharing Warning to Kaltura Video

Adding a classroom recording warning to Kaltura videos in Canvas alerts students that the session was recorded, sets expectations for appropriate use, and supports privacy and compliance requirements (including FERPA). It reduces confusion about downloading, sharing, or reusing course media by communicating limits before playback begins. Use this for lecture captures, guest speakers, and student presentations so learners see the notice the moment they press play. It also provides a consistent, unobtrusive reminder across your course.

Prerequisites

  • Recorded lectures uploaded to Kaltura
