Pre-Semester Faculty Message: Get Ready for Fall 2025

The faculty message for the week of August 20, 2025 advised publishing Canvas courses, using TidyUp tool for quick cleanup, adding AI statements to syllabi, and accessing CatBot for support.

If you haven’t already, publish your Canvas course. You can unpublish modules and pages you don’t want students to see.

Not ready to publish? Get ready quick:

• Copy a previous course to get started or pick from one of our templates. 
• Discover the magic of TidyUp, a handy tool to help quickly clean up your Canvas course clutter. From your course, select TidyUp > Scan Course. 
• Add an AI statement to your syllabus to tell your students how (or whether) they can use generative AI in your course.
