Hi there,

The best time to prepare for an emergency is before an emergency.

If there is an immediate physical threat to someone in the classroom or office.

Step into the hallway and call University Police at 530-898-5555. The CARE team may be looped in through the University Police.

If there is someone in extreme mental or emotional distress.

End class early, walk the student to the counseling center, contact the CARE Team at 530-898-5093 and/or care@csuchico.edu

If there is no threat, but a student is being disruptive and preventing the class from continuing.

End class early, contact your Department Chair and the CARE team.

For all other issues.
Finish class and contact CARE after class.
