This issue primarily affects users who have not yet authorized the Kaltura app within Canvas, preventing them from embedding videos as intended.

Solution

To fix the "Application Error" when embedding a Kaltura video in Canvas, do the following:

1. From the Canvas global navigation, select My Media.
2. If prompted, authorize the Kaltura Scoped Key to grant necessary permissions.
3. Return to the location in Canvas where you want to embed the video.
4. Use the Browse, Search, and Embed tool in the Rich Content Editor to embed your Kaltura video.

Now, your video should be successfully embedded in the Canvas Rich Content Editor without triggering the error.
