About Code Freezes

A code freeze is a designated period when technicians avoid making code changes in PeopleSoft to maintain system stability. This is typically enforced during critical operational periods, such as student registration in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CS).

Scheduling and Coordination

The dates and scope of code freezes are determined through consultation between EAPP, DAWGS, and the Data Owner for the relevant PeopleSoft instance.

Dates and scopes of code freezes will be determined in consultation between EAPP, DAWGS, and the Data Owner for the relevant PeopleSoft instance. For a list of scheduled freezes, refer to Add Drop Periods and Change Freezes (staff login required) and look for rows marked "Yes" under PeopleSoft freeze.

Exception Process

Code freezes ensure system reliability during critical periods. However, if an urgent change is necessary, an exception may be granted with approval from the EAPP Director and the Data Owner for the relevant PeopleSoft instance.
