Important Note: To access MOVEit, your device must be connected to a CSU network. You can connect using the Eduroam wireless network, a campus Ethernet connection, or the GlobalProtect VPN when working remotely.
Registering for MOVEit
The instructions below will help you to register to send and receive with MOVEit. You can also follow these steps to log in.
- Navigate to the Cal State MOVEit site.
- Click Try Single Sign-On with SAML at the bottom of the screen.

- From the dropdown, select Chico, then sign in with your Chico State username and password.
- Approve your login with Duo, and you’ll now be registered and signed in to MOVEit.
Sending MOVEit Packages
- After signing in, click Send Package.

- Enter the recipient’s email address.
- The person you are sending the message to must also be registered with MOVEit to receive your message.
- Add a subject, message body, and any attachments (optional).
- Click Send. A confirmation message will appear at the top of the screen.
Receiving MOVEit Packages
To access a message sent to you via MOVEit:
- Look for an email (in your Chico State inbox) with the subject "New Package is Waiting."
- Click the link at the bottom of the email (or copy and paste it into your browser).
- Sign in to MOVEit to receive the package. Follow the instructions above for Registering for MOVEit.
- Your message will appear under New Packages.
- To view older messages, click Packages on the left and check your Inbox.
- Note: Packages are automatically deleted after 90 days and cannot be recovered.
