How do I respond to a Poll Everywhere poll?

Poll Everywhere allows students to participate in polling activities set up by their instructors. Depending on the instructor's preferences, students can respond using a web browser or the Poll Everywhere mobile app. This guide will help you understand how to join and respond to Poll Everywhere polls.

Prerequisites

• Access to a web browser or the Poll Everywhere mobile app.
• Instructor's Poll Everywhere username or a direct link to the poll.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Using a Web Browser

To respond to Poll Everywhere polls using a web browser, do the following:

1. Open your web browser and go to https://pollev.com/home.
2. Enter your instructor's username to join the presentation.
   • Your instructor may provide a direct link in Canvas, a Zoom chat or through Canvas or a QR code

Using the Poll Everywhere Mobile App

To respond to Poll Everywhere polls using the Poll Everywhere app, do the following:

1. Download and install the Poll Everywhere app from your device's app store.
2. Open the app and enter your instructor's username to join the presentation or use the QR code.

Login for Participation Tracking (if applicable)

Some instructors may track participation and require you to respond to polls using your Chico State Poll Everywhere account. If so, proceed to Step 1 below. If not, choose Skip for now. 

1. Select Log in. If you are using the mobile app, it may be located on the bottom of the window. 
    
    
2. Enter your Chico State email then select Next. Then select Login with CSU Chico.

 

Anonymous Polls

For anonymous polls:

• You do not need to create an account or login to respond to anonymous polls.
• You should automatically have access through your Chico State email.

Troubleshooting

• If you cannot access the poll, ensure you have the correct instructor's username or the direct link.
• Verify that your Chico State email is being used to access the poll.
• If issues persist, contact your instructor for assistance.
