Adding New Contacts to TeamDynamix

Summary

This article will guide users through adding a new person to TeamDynamix either from the People tab or within a service request, including the required and optional contact details needed.

If a user cannot be found while processing the ticket as a requestor, or by search, there are two ways to add a new contact to TeamDynamix.

User Details

The following details need to be added to each requestor you create. 

  1. First, *Middle, and Last Name
  2. Organization: "Chico State"
    • Exception: If they are a vendor/contractor, put the business name. 
  3. Acct/Dept: The department the contact is located in.
    • For students, use Students (Prospective, Current, Graduated)
  4. Organization ID: Chico State ID Number (Do not fill out Alternate ID with ID Number).
  5. Primary and Alert/Notification Email: This should be the contact's Chico State email.
  6. *Alternative Email: An external email address, such as a personal email. 
  7. *Work, Mobile, or Home Phone: A contact number for the user. Select the Preferred Phone as well.
  8. *Alternate ID: This field is to be used for Parent/Guest Account usernames. Not an ID Number.

Add Person to TeamDynamix

  1. Within TeamDynamix, open the People tab, then click + New Person
    • If you do not see the People tab (as pictured below), click View Applications, then select the People Application.

  1. Enter the user's details as listed above (to the best of your ability). 
  2. Click Save, and your new user should be available in TeamDynamix. 

Create within Service Request

  1. Within the ticket window, click the plus icon + next to "Requested For".

  1. Enter the user's details as listed above (to the best of your ability). 
  2. Click Save, and you will return to the ticket with the contact added as the requestor.
