- A Zoom account with host privileges for the meeting.
- Waiting room feature enabled for the Zoom meeting.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Before the Meeting Starts
To know if someone is waiting to join your meeting before it starts, do the following:
- Check your email: If a participant tries to join the meeting, Zoom will send an email notification to the meeting owner.
During the Meeting
To admit participants from the waiting room during the meeting, do the following:
- View the participants panel: Open the participants panel in your Zoom meeting interface.
- Check the waiting room section: Participants waiting to join will be listed in the waiting room section at the top of the participants panel.
- Admit participants: Select the participant you want to admit and select Admit.
Troubleshooting
- Not receiving email notifications: Ensure that your email notifications are enabled in your Zoom settings.
- Participants not visible in waiting room: Confirm that the waiting room feature is enabled for the meeting. Also, make sure you are viewing the correct meeting instance.
