Supported Software

This is a list of Windows and Apple software that is recommended and generally supported by IT Support Services.

Software on this list is recommended by the IT Support Services department. We will install, troubleshoot, and provide generalized instruction on use of supported software, and do our best to assist with all the others on the list as well. Software not on this list is subject to support based on technician availability and current workload of ITSS staff.

* Where the Version reads 'Current', the most recent version number of the software is what is supported. *

Definition of the terms Full and Limited support.

Full: Software is supported by the Service Desk and Desktop Service Technicians. IT Support Services will install, troubleshoot, and provide general support for use of software.

Limited: Software is not officially supported by IT Support Services, but limited help may be available.

Definition of the terms Campus and Free License.

Campus: Either CSU, Chico or the CSU system has a licensing agreement in place with the vendor. This software is pre-installed on campus systems, or, depending on user permissions, available for installation without additional costs.

Free: This software is available under a public license such as the GNU General Public License, pre-loaded with an operating system, or other style of freeware.
This is software that any person may obtain free of charge.
