Use Ally to Download Alternate File Formats from Blackboard Learn

Ally is an accessibility tool that is integrated into your Blackboard environment.

Ally automatically provides you with the opportunity to download alternative formats of files inside your courses. View the available Alternative Formats

• Do you like to learn on the go?  Download course content as an MP3 audio file, or mobile-freindly HTML. 
• Need a translated version of your course content to your native language?  Ally does that too!
• How about a PDF detailed assignment instructions? 
• With Ally, you can access the information you need, the way you need it.

Instructions

Select the Download Alternative Formats icon wherever you see it to download the content in a different format. Choose the version that is best for your needs!

1. From your Blackboard course, locate the Ally icon 

If you don't see an option to download alternative formats, Ally isn’t enabled for that course or the file is not a supported content type.

2. Select the alternate format you want to download.  

• The alternative formats created depend on the original content. 
• Available Alternative Formats

3. Select Download. Locate the alternate format in your downloads area and open it.
