Mover.io to Migrate Files

In early Summer 2023, Chico State will begin decommissioning the current @temp.csuchico.edu Microsoft "rogue" tenant with a preference toward the @csuchico.edu Microsoft accounts. Before this decommission begins, Chico State @temp users need to migrate any files they wish to keep. This guide should walk you through moving files from one account to another. Please note this migration is only intended for anyone who has used their @mail.csuchico.edu to create an Office 365 account.

Note: This process DOES NOT work for OneNote files. While it will "copy" over, the file will display an "insufficient permissions" message. To copy OneNote files, follow the instructions here: https://support.csuchico.edu/TDClient/1984/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=113473

To begin...

Note: It is recommended to do this in a Private/Incognito window so that there are no currently cached Microsoft Logins.

In a new tab or browser, type mover.io into the address bar at the top of the page. You can also click the link here: https://mover.io/index.html

Scroll to the bottom of the page until you see the Mover Transfer Wizard for individuals and students. See the image below:

Click "Go to Transfer Wizard" and wait for the next page to load. It will say "Checking Authorization". Once the page finishes, you will be prompted to sign in with Microsoft. Use the [username]@temp.csuchico.edu account

Note: Your @temp.csuchico.edu account may have a different password than your current Chico State Portal password. You should be able to reset this password on your own. If you cannot, call ITSS at 530-898-4357.

Once you have signed in with the @temp account, you should see a menu asking you to select a source and destination.

Selecting the @temp source account

Under Step 1: Select source select "Authorize a New Connector" and choose "OneDrive for Business (Single User)". Click "Authorize"
